Carla Gordon, CFP, MSFS


Carla Gordon is enjoying her 28th year as a financial educator. She has led exam reviews enabling thousands of candidates to pass the rigorous CFP ® Exam as well as numerous insurance and NASD/FINRA exams. Gordon serves as the principal writer of the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) Exam which is offered through the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). She has also designed and delivered continuing education courses in financial and estate planning for the AICPA and is currently developing six CE courses focused on financial and tax planning for older Americans. She has designed training materials and delivered training programs for numerous financial services companies ranging from John Nuveen to Merrill Lynch. To date, she has authored twenty-four financial training books and manuals. Gordon is a contributing editor and senior instructor for the Ken Zahn CFP ® Review courses and serves on the financial planning faculty at De Paul University where she also plays an active role in course development. Ms. Gordon provides private coaching for CFP® Exam candidates throughout the U.S. She is also a popular entertainer in Chicago’s cabaret community.
